For the Priests’ Convocation of 2003, four resolutions were enacted. Among them was the systematic evaluation of priests by the Archbishop. The Archbishop has sent me a notification that my evaluation will occur soon. Besides my self-evaluation which I have submitted, he asked the following request:
I asked a staff member to choose the names at random so I have no idea who will be selected by the Archbishop. However, I do want to echo his desire that if you are selected, you participate in the process. + Happy Mothers Day to all of our mothers and to those who have filled a mother’s role in our lives. Thanks to the Pro-Life/Pro-Family for their donation of plants for each of our mothers. --- Rev. Christopher R. Armstrong MOTHERS DAY, MAY 13 All moms will receive a flower from the St. Antoninus Pro-Life/Pro-Family Commission. All expectant mothers, with their families in attendance, will receive a special blessing in the chapel after all Masses.

DID YOU KNOW? Good news from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati – Generous Catholics pledged more than $3.6 million to the Archdiocesan Annual Fund Drive in 2006 – 100% of the goal – to support Catholic Social Services, Chaplains for hospitals and prisons, our seminary programs, St. Rita School for the Deaf, and retirement for diocesan priests, among other causes. Catholic Campaign for Human Development, through the Office of Catholic Social Action, annually provides more than $100,000 for local projects to help individuals and communities improve their lives and futures. CSS of Butler and Warren Counties specializes in providing counseling and support services to children who have been sexually abused. Trained play therapists offer assistance to these children and their families. The Sidney office of CSS is the sponsoring agency for the PASSPORT program that provides assistance to seniors in Champaign, Darke, Logan, Miami and Shelby counties, enabling them to stay in their own homes rather than enter nursing homes.
THE THIRD ANNUAL TRIP TO APPALACHIA is being planned for either late June or early July this year. The date is going to depend on the needs of Father Beiting since he is building a new warehouse. Colleen Rowland is the contact for the mission trip; you can call her at 513-266-4078. Come and be part of something that will change the lives of people and enrich your own Christian faith. |

FROM OUR PRINCIPAL, MR. JACK COREY
Dear Parishioners: Many times educators talk about students that have these “aha!” moments. An “aha!” moment comes when a student not just learns what something is but why it is significant in his or her life. During the course of the year while I knew intellectually the purpose of a Catholic education, I have had a number of “aha!” moments, the most recent one being last week’s First Communion Mass. For those of you who know our second grade teachers, you know how well the students are prepared for receiving the sacraments. With standing room only, the second grade community of students, family and friends joined together to witness one of the most important things we do as Catholics. It was during this Mass I had another “aha!” moment. This is why our parish supports the work our school does. Our mission as a school is incomplete if we do not pass on our faith. A big thank you goes to our second grade teachers, Mrs. Snyder, Miss Vallejos, and Mrs. Wolf, and to all parishioners who help support our school. Without you we could not do the work we do to pass on the faith to the next generation.
