Dear St. Antoninus Parishioners,
It is time for our annual Athletic Club membership drive! The Club sends this mailer every year to all Parishioners along with a membership sign-up form, ballot, and biographies of this year’s Board candidates. Also included this year are Major Award tickets. We encourage all of you to become Club members and to vote for the new Board before the deadline noted on the invitation.
Annually, the Athletic Club provides almost 1000 child participants the opportunity to play 10 different sports. Thanks to the parish and Schott Field Association our children have great facilities to practice and play sports. Besides coordinating, coaching and funding teams, our Club maintains and improves Savio Hall (Gym) and Schott Field. We also provide the following:
The Athletic Club’s annual membership drive includes membership dues at $75.00 per family. These dues increase to $125.00 if not paid by June 1, 2009. The $35.00 non-voting membership remains the same. Operating funds for the Club are generated via this membership drive, advertising sponsors, concessions and our major fundraisers (Golf Outing, Summer Festival and Basketball Tournament). While these membership dues give you and your family rights as an Athletic Club member, it is still expected that members support the Club through service at our fundraisers and selling of Major Award tickets. While we don’t wish to put a number on the amount of time volunteered, it is hoped that parents support the program with no less than two hours of service per child per sport.
Fundraisers: This year’s Golf Outing will be held at Hidden Valley Lake Golf Course tentatively on May 14th. The Summer Festival will be held on June 11th, 12th, and 13th. And finally, the Basketball Tournament will be held over two weekends around Thanksgiving. Please contact Dave Bengel, incoming President, or any Club Board member to volunteer in any manner that you care to offer.

Dear St. Antoninus Parishioners,
The annual membership drive for the St. Antoninus Athletic Club has officially started. The Athletic Club rules require that participants in any club sponsored program, adult or child, be a paid member of the Athletic Club.
The mandatory membership policy is not intended to prevent anyone from participating in the sports programs at St. Antoninus. If the annual dues and participation fees present a financial hardship, please contact us and your membership dues will be waived and your membership will be approved. This will be handled on a confidential basis.
The St. Antoninus Athletic Club wishes to thank all members for their support. A special thank you to those Parishioners who no longer have children in our school and continue to give generously to continue the outstanding sports programs at St. Antoninus. Our goal is to provide the best possible program and to promote fair play and good sportsmanship with all of our children, parents and coaches.
We have included a ballot so that you can vote for the candidates who are running for the Athletic Club board this year. A brief statement from each candidate has been included in this mailing. Please return your ballot along with your membership dues by February 17, 2009 to: St. Antoninus Athletic Club, 1500 Linneman Road, Cincinnati, OH 45238. You may also return the ballot and dues by placing them in the Sunday church collection basket.
