Parents
should try to address and resolve differences regarding their child
or child’s team directly with the coach, preferably not in the
presence of players. It is recommended that the coach be contacted
either by phone or email.
In a
situation that cannot be resolved directly with the coach,
complaints for all sports are to be made (directed) to the Sports
Coordinator for that particular sport. Complaints will preferably
be written but may be verbally directed to the coordinator. Either
that Sports Coordinator or Athletic Club President will have a
direct discussion with the coach involved and parent(s) lodging the
complaint either as a group or individually.
Only
complaints that cannot be resolved in the above manner will be
brought before the Athletic Club Board by the parent or Sports
Coordinator, in writing as an agenda item at the next regularly
scheduled monthly meeting of the Athletic Club Board. The Sports
Coordinator involved with the complaint or the person making the
complaint must contact the Athletic Club Board President to request
that the issue be included on an upcoming meeting’s agenda.
However,
all Athletic Club members should feel free to contact the Athletic
Club President or any member of the Athletic Club Board in regards
to a complaint or issue.
In
extreme cases, and at the discretion of the Athletic Club President
or a parent who is not satisfied by the outcome of the complaint
that the parent has previously filed with the Athletic Club, the
matter may be brought to the Parish Pastor for further discussion. |
