Dear Parents/Guardians,
Hard to believe it's the third quarter
already !
In Science the students were fascinated
with examining the owl pellets. We are getting near the end of the taiga
biome so a test date will be announced soon. Next we will study the third
type of forest, Tropical Rainforest. There will be an animal report to do.
In Religion we are starting Chapter 7 in
which the students will be doing skits for "The Last Days of Jesus on
Earth." Lent is fast approaching and the whole school will be working on a
water service project. More about that later.
In both Religion and Science I will
continue to encourage the use of complete sentences and correct spelling.
These are important cross-curricular skills. The students need to write with
their brains engaged in every subject. Already I have seen improved
spelling. Ofcourse there is also personal satisfaction in doing quality
work.
This will be a great quarter!
