4th Quarter Letter

Fourth Quarter Letter

Dear Parents,

Time does fly when you’re having fun!  Soon we will be screening the kindergarten students for next year. It’s amazing to remember that one year ago these were your children.  They continue to blossom and grow everyday as they enrich our lives in the process.

As usual, we will keep very busy in our last quarter. In Language Arts we will study the last few letters of the alphabet and some blends.  We will continue blending sounds to read new words and use our letter decoding skills to do lots of writing.  We will further develop our comprehension skills, reviewing elements of a story, as well as comparing, classifying, and contrasting stories. Please continue to read daily with your child and develop a routine for practicing their word rings throughout the spring and summer months.

In Religion we will further develop the concept that our lives are a gift from God to be shared with others.  We will be praising God from our hearts with our songs, prayers and actions.  Through Bible stories we will continue to learn of God’s love.

In Math we will focus on a time and money unit, followed by measurement, addition and subtraction.  Learning through hands on activities will enrich our educational experiences.

In Science we will be exploring, making predictions, and experimenting as we study life cycles, the seasons, and the weather.

Mark your calendars for April 10th, the Spring Music Program.  The children have begun practicing their singing and dancing.  You won’t want to miss it.

Thank you for your endless support.
