6.         SCHOOL DIERCTORY UPDATES NEEDED.  We are in the process of updating and taking orders for the School Directory.  Please look for the flyer including order form in the White Envelope and return information/order form and $$ in an envelope marked "SCHOOL DIRECTORY" by Friday, 9/14.  If you have any questions, please contact Jane Hamberg at 451-8650 or email at THAMBERG @current.net.

7.         PTO VICE PRESIDENT POSITION OPEN.  Your St. Antoninus PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) currently has the Vice President position open on the PTO Board.  This can be filled by 1 or 2 volunteers.  Having a complete Board helps achieve the goals of your PTO.  The PTO is a vital part of the St. Antoninus community.  Please consider volunteering to take a more active role in your PTO.  Thank you!  Anyone interested in this position, please contact Maria Allen at 922-2493 or Joan Berning at 451-2427.

8.         SPIRITWEAR NEWS.   Thank you to all who shopped the clearance sale, which resulted in sales of more than $2,000.  A huge thank you to Patti Brunst, Mary James, and Lisa Reiter who braved the heat to work at the two-day event.  I’d also like to thank Joan Berning and Lisa Wagner who pitched in to help at Orientation.  I couldn’t have done it without you all - thanks!  Gym uniforms have been ordered however, there is a problem with the manufacturer and the shorts will be delayed approximately one week later than the t-shirts.  If you have ordered gym uniforms, please send payment in cash or by check made out to St. Antoninus PTO, to the School Office with the notation “Spiritwear” on the envelope.  Each item costs $10, or $20 for a complete uniform.  As the uniforms come in, they will be sent home with your son or daughter if payment has been made.  The Spiritwear Room will no longer extend credit or hold items for anyone.  Please be patient as we get the Spiritwear Advisory Committee organized.  Anyone interested in serving on this committee, volunteering to work in the Spiritwear Room, or helping sell spiritwear at sporting events, etc. should call Lisa Egner @ 347-7119 or send an email to eggs01@fuse.net.  Watch for a survey in the white envelope in the next few weeks for your opportunity to be heard regarding the hours of operation, items to be sold, etc. Please note the Spiritwear Room will be open on Fri., Sept. 7th from 2:00 to 3:30 and at Open House on Wed., Sept. 12th from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m.  The Spiritwear Room will not be open on Fri., Sept. 14th.

9.         BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION SUMMER CONTEST.  Hope you have been saving Box Tops for Education Coupons throughout the summer.  Just tape or paste collected Box Tops on the form enclosed in this white envelope and then turn in your completed sheet by 9/30/07 to the school office.  Each completed sheet is worth $2 for St. Antoninus PTO.  The family turning in the most will receive a $50 Kroger Gift Card.  Also, there will be a random drawing for a winner of a big basket of Box Tops for Education products worth over $40. Get your kids involved !!  The more sheets turned in, the more opportunity to win the basket and the most collected.  If you need more sheets, please copy this form, go to the St. A website or email a request to staboxtops@yahoo.com or call Cathy Neville.  PLEASE SEE THE BACK OF THE FORM FOR A LIST OF PARTICIPATING PRODUCTS !!  Thanks for all your help with this easy PTO fundraiser.
