1.         URGENT NOTICE FROM PTO.  The PTO Vice-President position is still vacant for this school year!!  The Vice President(s) serve for 1 year before moving into the role of President(s) for 1 year.  Serving on your PTO board is a wonderful opportunity to become more involved.  In order for your PTO to continue to provide our school and parish with the much needed financial and volunteer support, this position needs to be filled quickly!  Therefore, we have a deadline of MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2007, in which to fill this vacancy.  The PTO board works as a team and anyone interested will be given plenty of assistance from all board members.  If this position is not filled, the PTO board will have to seek an alternative solution.  Keep in mind, your PTO provides hundreds of volunteer hours, many important programs, services and fundraisers that benefit our children and parish.  Contact Joan Berning at 451-2427 or Joan.Berning@fmr.com ASAP to volunteer.  Thank you for your consideration.

 

2.         ST. ANTONINUS PTO GENERAL MEETING/GUEST SPEAKER. Mark your calendar for Wednesday, November 7 for the next PTO meeting!  Please come to the Undercroft at 7:00 p.m. for refreshments, with the meeting beginning at 7:30 p.m. Your PTO has arranged for Rick Sweeney to be a guest speaker at the meeting.  He is from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department and will speak to the PTO about Internet Safety.  He will focus on how parents can keep their children safe and how to monitor their children's use of the computer.  All are welcome!

 

3.         MARKET DAY.  Last chance to order the delicious pies from Market Day.  Get your order forms to school by 10/30 (tomorrow) or order on-line by Thursday, 11/1, by noon @ www.marketday.com.

 

4.         SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR.  The Book Fair will be open after the Sunday, November 11th Masses (along with Coffee & Donuts).  We also will have a "Family Night" on Monday & Tuesday (November 12th & 13th) (before & after Parent/Teacher Conferences), where parents, grandparents, aunts & uncles can shop without the kids.  We have some exciting "challenges" for the parents and kids that will take place.  Please consider volunteering for this worthy cause.  The proceeds from this Book Fair supply many important and valuable books and references to all the teachers through their Wish List.  Look in the White Envelope on November 5th for the brochure from which you can make selections.  Any questions or comments, please call Patti Brunst at 451-7652 after 3:00 p.m. daily.

 

5.         ATHLETIC CLUB BOARD. The Athletic Club is looking for volunteers to serve on the Board for 2008.  Please contact Scott Reiter at 922-5002 or reiterjjjls@fuse.net or Todd Logan at 922-1782 or toddlogan@msn.com for more information.

 

6.         SOCCER COORDINATOR NEEDED FOR FALL 2008!  The Soccer Coordinator position will be available to anyone interested for both boys and girls soccer.  If you are interested in becoming the next coordinator, please contact Julie Burke immediately.  You may coordinate both boys and girls or choose one or the other.  Season preparation will start in late March, early April.  If you have any questions regarding the position itself, please contact Julie at: 513.347.7435, or via email at julieburke@current.net.

 

7.         PICTURE RETAKE DAY.  Picture Retake Day is scheduled for Wednesday, November 7.  Only those students getting retakes may be out of uniform.  Original photos need to be returned if requesting retakes.  Picture retake envelopes are available in the school office for those students who were absent on the first picture day (September 13) or who are requesting a different package from original one ordered.  Please don’t hesitate to call the School Office with any questions.

 

8.         PLAYGROUND BALLS REQUESTED.  Do you have an excess of playground balls in your garage?  Do you have doubles and would like to give one away?  The St. A playground would love to have them.  Please send any footballs, basketballs, or four-square balls (no hard balls) to school with your child and have them drop them at the office.  We will mark them St. A. Playground property and place in the bin during playground.  THANK YOU!!

 

9.         JUST A REMINDER.  After school, the upper lot is reserved for parents who have children in A Child’s Garden.  All others must use the lower lot.  Thank you to the 99% who follow the procedures even though the traffic below may be somewhat inconvenient.

 

10.       ATTENTION 8TH GRADE STUDENTS AND PARENTS. We would like to collect pictures from all your years at St A for your graduation breakfast.  Please send any pictures you would like to share to school, marked with your name and phone # so we can return them to you.  And remember to take lots of pictures during this year so we can include them also.  We are looking for all kinds of events; scouts, sports, school events, etc.....Send them in an envelope marked "8th grade pictures - Attention Diane Martini” through the school office or you can email them to me at rmartini2@cinci.rr.com.  We will be collecting them all year.  Thank you in advance for helping.    Questions?  contact Diane Martini at 922-0963
