3.         REMINDERS FROM THE PARISH BUSINESS OFFICE:  Tuition payments for semi-annual payments were due in December.  Please remit all payments before the Christmas break.  All school families are expected to be contributing members of the parish.  Your donations of $15 per week per family (or $780/year) help offset the actual cost of tuition, which this year is over $4,000.  Year end statements will be sent in January to all school families.

4.         WEATHER RELATED CLOSING AND DELAYS.  If Oak Hills School District is closed we are closed.  If Oak Hills is on a delay, the Oak Hills busses will pick up late.  If Oak Hills is on a delay and Cincinnati Public Schools are open, the CPS busses will not run.

5.         UNIFORM SIZING.  Unfortunately as students grow, their clothes don’t.  Many students are having a hard time keeping shirts tucked in and skirts at appropriate lengths or have pants that are beginning to look like “crop pants.”  Please take a look at your child’s uniform and make any alterations needed between now and when we get back from Christmas break.

6.         MUSIC NEWS.  As part of our Christmas Concert, the students in grades 1, 3, and 4 took part in a service project of giving. The students brought in items to send to two of our St. Antoninus alum serving our country now.  They shared lots of things with them.  Items such as games, toiletries, and personal stationary made by the students were sent to the soldiers.  In total, 28 boxes were sent to Phillip and Sarah Klump to share with their fellow soldiers.  A total of 246 pounds of supplies were packaged.  We would like to thank the Janene and Mark Cappel Family for graciously paying the shipping costs to send these items.  What a beautiful experience of giving to others who are giving for you.

7.         SHINING STAR.  This week’s Shining Star Award goes to… Frank E.  Frank is a fifth grader in Mrs. Lipps’ homeroom.  Frank’s favorite movie is “Star Wars.”  Frank enjoys country music and watching the Food Channel.  Frank has played trumpet for two years and is in the St. Antoninus School Advanced band.  Great job Frank!
