Weather-related Closings & Delays

St. Antoninus School follows the Oak Hills School District regarding weather-related closings, delays and early dismissals.  All major radio and television stations carry these announcements.  The school’s web site will also have an announcement.  Keep in mind that we have two, independent bus systems servicing our students.

• If Oak Hills Schools are closed – St. Antoninus School is closed.

• If Oak Hills Schools are on a two-hour delay, St. Antoninus School is delayed and will open at 9:45am and dismiss at the usual time.

• A delay means there will be no morning Kindergarten.

Be advised, Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) follows its own plan.  If CPS is closed, their busses will not run at all.  These parents must provide transportation.  If they are delayed, their busses will run at the delayed time.

• Both bus systems will bring the students home at the usual time.  (Unless CPS is closed. (see above))

• Parents should not call the school or rectory for information regarding closings or delays.

Early Dismissal of the School

• In these instances, there will be no after-school childcare.

• Under probable conditions, parents should listen to radio or TV for early dismissals.  If either or both districts dismiss early, our students will be dismissed as their bus arrives.  Parents and children must have a contingency plan in place that will provide for supervision when students arrive home under these conditions.

• Students cannot be released to anyone but parents/guardians without written permission from the parent/guardian.  Car-pool drivers and all others responsible for transportation of children not their own must secure that permission before coming to the school.
